Freedom Titanium Upgrade

A couple of weeks ago Liberty upgraded the stainless core Freedom I bought in 2014 to a Ti core. The whole process was seamless and fast.

Best of all the weight dropped from 22.5 oz. to 17.0. BIG difference in a 10" long can. And while I haven't metered it, to my ear it sounds the same which is a good thing.

So Liberty's Ti upgrades are highly recommended. I may have them update my Regulator someday...

I have one and am patiently awaiting your positive feedback. Didn't know they were upgrading those.

Also very interested in this.

I have Mystic X that I want to upgrade to an Infinity X core, I just haven't done it because despite an endcap strike it still works fine for how I use it. A Ti upgrade to the Freedom might be enough to get me to send both cans in.

The story is I called Liberty a couple of weeks ago and asked if they could do a Ti upgrade on my old Freedom since I didn't see an option on the site. It turns out there are two versions of the Freedom, one with a locking pin and one with a wave lock. Mine is the locking pin type. Liberty just happened to have one pin-type Ti core on the shelf collecting dust, so we quickly made a deal and I sent in the can. It was returned with a fresh core and a new coat of Cerakote. It looks like a new can. The core appears to be the same square bore design. So far it sounds the same. I'm happy.

I don't know if any other Freedom Ti upgrades would be done with a newer design core. I got the one original leftover from a long ago run.

I’m sure glad I finally upgraded my stainless core Leonidas to the Ti version. It made more of a difference than I expected.

Not A Clue
Anyone have pictures of the freedom baffles? It’s the one design I’ve never been able to find. I’ve always wondered how the square bore arrangement worked.
